Who we are
Our story
The Salonna Andrea family farm was formally established in the early 2000s, but its roots go much further back: farming experience handed down over three generations, for more than half a century. Ever since Grandpa Pietro was assigned a farm by the OVS (Opera di Valorizzazione della Sila) in the late 1950s, a love of agriculture and working the land has been passed down through the years.
Clementines
Clementines arrived in the Sibari Plain in the late 1980s and quickly became established, turning into a product of excellence known for its quality and flavour, and today exported and enjoyed all over the world.
The Salonna family farm
The Salonna farm is small and family-run, which lets us keep traditional growing methods, avoiding many treatments and chemicals and following an approach that is as natural as possible to obtain high-quality, genuine fruit. Some basic treatments are nevertheless carried out in midsummer to protect the fruit from insect attacks while it is growing.
Our citrus fruits
Today, alongside clementines, which remain our flagship product, we also grow other citrus varieties such as VCR Navel oranges, lemons and pink and yellow grapefruits.
